AlWAYS GET THE PERFECT LESSON FOR YOU.
In your first lesson we will start on land. We learn about wind basics, setting up your gear and how to control your wing. This should take about an hour. We will then learn about getting our gear into the water, water safety and getting on our board. Next is taxing on your knees (going across the water using your wing to pull you). The next step is staying upwind on your knees. If you are successful staying upwind we will try and stand up on our board (not foiling yet). You may or may not get through all these steps the first lesson depending on the speed you are progressing.
If you have made it through the previous steps we are now ready to try and foil! We get small flights first, trying to find our balance on foil. After that we extend our flights until we are comfortable holding our board up on foil. Then we learn to ride upwind.
Beyond that we can work on more intermediate and advanced skills. This includes but is not limited to gybe on foil, foot switches, tacking, riding with footstraps, flagged out riding, swell riding, downwinders, backwinded riding, race gybe, backwind 360s, jumping
